Community Panel

As part of our commitment to consultation with residents of Labrador, Aurora Energy created the Michelin Project Community Panel. The Panel gives community representatives from Labrador input into project planning and environmental work. Panel members represent a cross-section of coastal Labrador residents, including youth, elders, and volunteers, as well as those with expertise as hunters, fishers, business owners, health care workers, educators and in community development.

In November 2009, the Panel met with Aurora's team to discuss economic and employment benefits of the Michelin Project and Aurora's Traditional Knowledge survey
The first meeting of the Michelin Project Community Panel was held in November 2008 in Happy Valley-Goose Bay (above)
The Panel meeting in April 2009 in Makkovik saw Aurora's team and Panel members discussing tailings options for the Michelin Project
